How far in advance should we book the session?
We recommend booking 2-4 weeks in advance to secure your spot and prepare your poses.
What type of payment do you support?
At this time we accept Cash, PayPal, Cash App, or Zelle.
What happens if there is rain in the forecast for my session?
I will check in with you 2-3 days before your shoot and discuss forecast. If there is a strong chance of rain for your scheduled shoot, we recommend rescheduling for the best experience. However, if you choose to proceed, we’ll shoot rain or shine and final payment must be made before the start of your shoot.
How many locations can I choose?
We strive to make the most of your session by capturing photos at multiple locations. Each package includes a different session length, with recommended number of locations outlined in the package details. However, if the locations are significantly far apart, adjustments may be necessary, and we may need to prioritize fewer locations.
How do à la carte enhancements work
After your shoot, you'll receive proofs to review. If you’d like any enhancements, simply let me know. I’ll invoice you for the selected upgrades, and once paid, your enhanced images will be delivered within 10 days. Need them sooner? Rush delivery (3 days) is available for $100.
Can I book a session without making a payment?
Not at this time. To secure your session, a nonrefundable deposit via is required after our call.
The remaining balance will be invoiced and must be paid at least 24 hours before your shoot. Need to reschedule? No problem—it’s free! However, the deposit is nonrefundable if you cancel.

Why would my company need more than one headshot per employee?
While one headshot covers basic needs, having multiple images provides versatility for various platforms (website, social media, marketing) and allows you to select the best expression and crop for each specific use, ensuring a consistent and professional brand image across all touchpoints.
What is the best time of day for outdoor sessions?
We can shoot at any time of the day, but shooting 3-5 hours before sunset can mean smaller crowds for your photos.
Can I switch packages after I book my session?
No problem if you change your mind. We recommend booking the longer package if you’re torn between options, as it’s easier to downgrade.
What counts as a Wardrobe Change?
Some of our extended package includes a wardrobe change—but what does that mean? If you start in a sharp suit and later switch to a more relaxed blazer or athletic gear, that’s a wardrobe change. This lets high-level professionals and athletes showcase different sides of their brand. Performance gear, business attire, and casual looks? We’ve got you covered.
How do team photos work?
For small and large teams/groups, each person gets a professional headshot or 2-3 unique poses to capture different looks. Teams can collect individual payments from members, but full payment must be made upfront via Cash, PayPal, or Venmo.
Can I buy prints?
Yes! You can purchase professional-quality prints directly from your online gallery. Simply select your favorite images, choose your preferred print size and finish, and place your order. Your prints will be delivered straight to your door, ensuring top-tier quality and convenience.
What is your rescheduling and cancellation policy?
You can adjust your date as needed, but the deposit is nonrefundable in case of cancellation. We offer free rescheduling if circumstances change.
How do corporate headshots work?
Photos by JDM is committed to providing professional headshots for all employees. To streamline the process, we'll be using a centralized system to schedule appointments and deliver photos.
Here's a general overview:
Scheduling: You'll receive an invitation via Google Calendar to select a convenient appointment time. Automated reminders will be sent to ensure no one misses their slot.
Appointment Tracking: We'll be using a secure internal spreadsheet to track appointments and photo delivery, ensuring everyone is accounted for.
Photo Storage and Delivery: Your professionally edited headshot will be stored securely in [Google Drive/Dropbox, specify which one]. You'll receive a direct link to your photo via email once it's ready.
File Naming: Please note that photos will be named using a consistent format (e.g., LastName_FirstName_EmployeeID.jpg) for easy organization.
Communication: We'll keep you informed throughout the process via email.
